How do I unsubscribe or delete my account?

  • To unsubscribe from the email we send you, use the hyperlink at the end of the email.
  • If you really don't want your Neopets anymore and wish to delete your account, please send mail to support@neopets.com .
  • If you just wish to change or remove your email address, click on Your Preferences. You will need to enter your password before you can make any changes.


Why is my account frozen?
Accounts are only frozen if you break one of the rules of the site. Minor infringements are always given a warning first. Usually when an account is frozen, it is due to one of the following reasons:

  • Posting sexual or offensive material (language, images and usernames). This includes having pool party or spin the bottle boards, using profanity or attempting to use Neopets as a dating service.
  • Using or promoting cheats for Neopets in your shop, theme park or another site
  • Attempting to gain access to somebody elses acccount (fake log-in pages, password scams, neositting etc.)
  • Harrassing other players

If you have been frozen and aren't sure why, or you feel you have been unjustly frozen, please contact us using this form. A member of our support team will gladly tell you the reason. Remember to include your username, or we will not be able to help you


Can you change your Neopets username?
No, I am afraid once an account is created, that is what it will be known as. If you really don't like your username you can create another account with a better name.


I have changed my email address, how do I update this?
You can only do this if you are over 13 years of age, or you have sent in the parental consent form. Click on 'Help' in the yellow side bar. You will see an animated button that says change your password/preferences. Click on that button. Now you can enter your new email address. You will need to enter your password in order to change any of your personal information.


I have more than one account, will I get frozen?
You are allowed a MAXIMUM of one main account and up to four additional accounts that can be used as galleries, etc. You are only allowed to use the once per day activities such as Coltzan's Shrine and the Tombola with your main account.

When I signed up I didn't realise my real name would appear
Simply click on 'Help' in the yellow tool bar, then click on the 'Change Your Password Often' banner. This will take you to Your Preferences, where you can change your information as well as your password.


I entered the wrong email address when I signed up, can I change it?
If you entered the wrong e-mail address or made a mistake when you typed it, you cannot change it. I am afraid you will have to sign up again.


How do I view/change my details?
To see what details other people can see when they look up your account, type your username in the search box (this is in the yellow side bar). You can change what your profile says on the User Prefs page. To get to this page, click on Help in the yellow bar, then on the Pink Bruce at the top of the page.
